About This Calculator

This page shows the exact date 3 business days from today. It fills in today's date and counts forward three working days, skipping weekends and US federal holidays, so the answer is ready as soon as the page loads and refreshes each day you return.

Three business days is one of the most common short windows. Bank transfers and check deposits are often described as taking one to three business days to clear, and shipping, refund and cancellation windows use the same wording. It also appears in law: the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule gives you three business days to cancel certain door-to-door sales, and a homeowner has three business days to cancel certain loans secured on their home. Because weekends do not count, three business days from a Thursday is the following Tuesday, and from a Friday it is the following Wednesday.

The result shows the weekday it falls on and notes the weekend days and any holidays skipped. You can change the start date to count three business days from another day, switch the direction to count backward, or adjust the amount.

To use it, read the result: 3 business days from today is calculated for you. To count from a particular date, edit the start date and press Calculate date. The calculation runs privately in your browser.
