The add business days calculator moves a date forward or backward by a chosen number of working days, skipping weekends and public holidays as it goes. Pick a start date, enter how many business days, choose whether to count forward or backward, and it returns the exact date the deadline lands on — along with the weekday and how many weekend days and holidays it stepped over.

Business days are the unit that most deadlines are actually written in. Shipping and delivery estimates, service level agreements, cheque clearing and settlement windows, cooling-off periods, and legal or administrative response times are almost always quoted in working days rather than calendar days, because Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays do not count. Working that out by eye is easy to get wrong, especially when a holiday falls in the middle of the span.

Unlike a plain calendar count, this tool never lands your deadline on a weekend or a public holiday: it keeps stepping until it has passed the full number of working days. The start date itself is not counted, which matches the usual "within N business days" convention. Holidays come from a national holiday list, so a holiday on a weekday is skipped while one already on a weekend is not double-counted.

To use it, choose a start date, enter the number of business days, pick the direction, and press Calculate date. Everything is computed privately in your browser. Starting from the chosen date, the calculator steps one day at a time in the chosen direction. Weekends and weekday public holidays are skipped and not counted; every other day counts as one business day. It stops once the full number of business days has been passed, and reads the weekday of the result.
