Wedding Anniversary Countdown
About This Calculator
The wedding anniversary countdown keeps your next anniversary in sight. Enter your wedding date and it counts down the days to your next anniversary, names the weekday it falls on, and shows how long you have been married so far.
A countdown makes it easy to plan ahead. Knowing there are, say, sixty days until your anniversary gives you time to book a table, plan a trip, or arrange a gift without a last-minute rush, and seeing the weekday helps you decide what kind of celebration fits. Because the tool also shows the years, months, and days you have been married, the countdown sits alongside the full history of your marriage rather than on its own.
The count always looks forward: your wedding date is rolled to its next yearly return after today, so once this year's anniversary passes the countdown restarts toward next year's. A 29 February wedding date falls back to 28 February in common years so the countdown works annually, and the day math runs in UTC so it will not slip by a day across time zones.
To use it, choose your wedding date and press Calculate. The days remaining, the anniversary's date and weekday, and your time married appear instantly, computed privately in your browser. A future date is rejected with a clear message.
For the same date framed around how long you have been married, the wedding anniversary calculator and how long have we been married tools lead with the elapsed figure.
How It Works
- Enter the anniversary date (for example, a wedding date).
- Click “Calculate”.
- See the time elapsed and the countdown to the next anniversary.
Formula & Methodology
The result is worked out as follows:
Elapsed = years / months / days since the date; Next = days until its next yearly return
The countdown is the day count from today to the next yearly return of your wedding date. The tool also shows the complete years, months, and days you have been married and the total days since the wedding.
