90 Days Ago From Today

About This Calculator

This page shows the exact date 90 days ago. It fills in today's date and counts back 90 days automatically, so the answer is ready on load and updates each day you come back.

Ninety days is close to a quarter of a year and is a favourite window in business, health, and law. Quarterly look-backs, 90-day probation periods that are now ending, visa and travel rules measured over any 90-day period, and "last 90 days" performance or spending reports all rely on knowing the exact start date. Because three months can be anywhere from 89 to 92 days, "90 days ago" and "three months ago" are not interchangeable, and the precise date is the one that counts.

The calculator also reports the day of the week, which is worth checking when you are lining up records or confirming which weekday a 90-day-old event fell on. You can override the start date at any time to count back from a day other than today, or switch the unit to weeks, months, or years.

To use it, read the result — the date 90 days before today is calculated for you. To count back from a specific date, change the date and press Calculate date. Everything is computed privately in your browser.

Shorter and longer spans work the same way: 30 days ago, 60 days ago, and 180 days ago each count backwards from today. For a custom number of days, weeks, months, or years, use the subtract days from date calculator, and 90 days from today runs the same calculation forward.

How It Works

  1. Enter a start date.
  2. Enter an amount and choose a unit.
  3. Choose add or subtract, then click “Calculate date”.
  4. Read the resulting date and its weekday.

Formula & Methodology

The result is worked out as follows:

Result = Start Date ± amount (days / weeks / months / years)

The calculator takes today’s date and subtracts 90 days, then reads the weekday of the result. It counts real days, so the answer reflects the actual lengths of the months crossed rather than assuming a fixed three-month quarter.
